Walls that have seen a lot: As a Benedictine monastery, the monastery Wöltingerode was founded in 1147, a short time later, however, converted into a monastery for Cistercian nuns. They laid the foundation stone for the still extant monastery walls.
Since 2008, the hotel business with a variety of conference facilities and gastronomy in addition to the monastery distillery and agriculture, an optimal use of the monastic premises, in order to "get their heads free" in peace and in the vicinity of nature.
