The Bremen Town Hall, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the most important Gothic buildings. You can stop off at the market square at its feet, as well as on the lively Schlachte promenade. Bremen's oldest district is the Schnoor, the Low German word for "cord", in whose really narrow streets colorful houses, shops and cafes are lined up. The Bremen Story House, the Antique Museum and the Packhaus Theater are also housed here.

Just as unique is the brick architecture of the elegant Böttcherstraße in the city center, where trade, art, culture and gastronomy are packed close together - and where 30 Meissen porcelain bells ring at the right time at the Haus des Glockenspiel.
