Hotel Am Schlosspark Güstrow

Located in the heart of the lake district between Berlin and Rostock you find the town of Güstrow, famous for its ties with the expressionist sculptor Ernst Barlach. This is the ideal base from which to explore Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, with its avenues, its endless beaches, its 2,000+ lakes and its palaces.

Güstrow is an ideal place for star rides through the country of thousand lakes. In just about 45 minutes Schwerin, Rostock with the seaside resort Warnemünde or the lake district with the town Waren/Müritz can be accessed by coaches.

Within the surrounding area, natural wonders and cultural memorials are waiting to be explored by bicycle. The coastal resort of Warnemünde, the Darß Peninsula, Waren (including the Müritz National Park) and the state capital of Schwerin can all be reached by bike via the well-signposted cycle paths. You could also go for a refreshing dip in the nearby lake Inselsee.
